Three months ago we were running every single system off GoHighLevel. Then we built our own CRM for my home service company using Claude, and in the three months since it's made us over $100,000.

What I learned building it is anyone can build a dashboard now. Claude will do that part for you. What makes a CRM worth something is the system behind it, and Claude can't build that until you've designed it.

design the system first

A system is something that finds a repeating problem and designs a solution for it. Start by splitting your business into three pillars.

  1. SALES OPSeverything from lead to close
  2. BUSINESS OPSfulfillment and data tracking
  3. TEAM OPScomms, delegation, SOPs

Then break each one down like a proper supply chain. A lead comes in, where do they go? What happens if they say yes, no, maybe, or just go quiet?

Here's how ours works. The second a lead contacts us they get a client profile, and someone calls them within 60 seconds. If they go quiet, they get a 14 day follow up, and it's not generic messages. It's built off what they told us on that first call. Almost every single person responds by the third message.

then hand it to your claude

Paste this into Claude Code. It'll interview you, map the system out with you, then build the CRM and explain every part as it goes. If you don't have Claude Code yet, my October setup letter is in the vault.

GIVE THIS TO YOUR CLAUDE
I want to build my own CRM for my business, with you doing the building. Work in three stages and do not move to the next until I say so.

Stage 1, design the system. Interview me one question at a time. Split my business into three pillars: sales ops (every lead source through to close), business ops (fulfillment and data tracking) and team ops (communication, task delegation, SOPs). For each pillar, walk me through every stage a customer goes through. At each stage ask what happens next, and what happens if they say yes, no, maybe or go quiet. Save every repeating problem and the solution we pick to system.md.

Stage 2, plan the build. Turn system.md into a plan: the pages, the client profile every lead gets, the pipeline stages, and the automatic texts and emails at each stage. Explain in plain words what each part does and why it is there.

Stage 3, build it. Before any code, give me two or three options for each of these with what they cost and your pick: where to host it (like Railway, Vercel or Supabase), texts and calls (like Twilio), email (like Resend) and payments (like Stripe). Wait for me to choose. Then build one piece at a time, show me it working, and explain what you built before starting the next.
The coding isn't the complicated part. Knowing your business well enough to design the system is.

I filmed the whole thing on screen, every flow and every tool. Go watch it before you build.

I built a CRM with Claude that runs my whole sales system. The full walkthrough, 30 minutes.
